• How long is the waitlist?

  • 2 to 6+ Years

• What do I need to apply for assistance?

  • The list is currently CLOSED.  When open all waitlist applications are accepted ONLINE only.

    • Valid E-mail address for application and communication

    • Name of all household members

    • Social Security Numbers for all all household members

    • Birth Dates for all household members

    • Income for all household members
       

• When will you begin accepting applications?

  • EHA last accepted applications for the waitlist for HCV/Section 8 October 1-3, 2020.  Another date has not been set at this time. 

YOU WILL need a e-mail address to submit an application.

APPLICANTS are responsible for keeping the Elgin Housing Authority updated on changes to contact information and household member changes.  Changes should be e-mailed to the housing authority.  If the housing authority can not reach the applicant with the contact information provided on the application, they will be removed from the waiting list.
